Potteries Radio Controlled Model Car Club was founded on 20th December 2021 by Dan Cooper, Peter Mulcahy, Dave Burton and Chris Ely. After returning to their local club when lockdown was lifted due to COVID 19 they decided that a dedicated buggy club was needed with high grip carpet as there was no other RC club within a 40 mile radius that was dedicated to buggies only.
With dedication and drive it was all systems go to find a venue, create a website, affiliate the club with the BRCA, purchase – (carpet, timing hardware/software, track markers, H&S equipment.), Facebook page, logos, the list goes on.
As the club progressed prior to holding its first meeting in Feb 22, The committee regularly posted on social media various teaser pictures showing the likes of blocks of wood, BRCA affiliation, jumps etc. It was then agreed that a teaser video was required to gain more excitement in the club which can be seen below, it was released on 08/01/22.
On the 14/01/22 after many trials the committee team finally agreed on the logo, It was then added to all social media sites like web pages, facebook, BRCA etc.
